NAME

attributes — describe an audio file

SYNOPSIS

/opt/audio/bin/attributes filename

DESCRIPTION

This command provides information about an audio file, including file format, data format, sampling rate, number of channels, data length and header length.

EXAMPLE

The following is an example of using attributes on an audio file supplied with HP-UX.

$ /opt/audio/bin/attributes /opt/audio/sounds/welcome.au File Name: /opt/audio/sounds/welcome.au File Type: NeXT/Sun Data Format: Mu-law Sampling Rate: 22050 Channels: Mono Duration: 1.972 seconds Bits per Sample: 8 Header Length: 40 bytes Data Length: 43492 bytes
