exports, xtab — directories to export to NFS clients

SYNOPSIS

/etc/exports

/etc/xtab

DESCRIPTION

The /etc/exports file is obsolete and has been replaced by the new NFS file /etc/dfs/dfstab. Please see dfstab(4) for more details.

The /etc/xtab file is also obsolete and has been replaced by the new NFS file /etc/dfs/sharetab. Please see sharetab(4) for more details.

The exports and the xtab files are no longer used to export NFS directories. Any modifications made to these files will have no impact on NFS.

These manpages will be removed from future releases of HP-UX.

FILES

/etc/dfs/dfstab: list of share commands to be executed at boot time
/etc/dfs/sharetab: system record of shared file systems
/etc/hosts: list of hostnames
/etc/netgroup: list of network groups
/etc/networks: network information
/sbin/init.d/nfs.server: script that executes share command.
